About The Society
The
Brockwell Family History Society is a small, but world-wide society
set up in 1992 to bring together people with the name of BROCKWELL
(and variants of the name) in their family
tree, with the aim of researching the history of all branches of
the family.
We have amassed a substantial database of births, marriages, deaths,
census returns, parish records, etc.
A detailed analysis of this information has enabled us to divide
the majority of Brockwells into eight family groups and we can usually
identify to which group an individual belongs. Currently we have
contacts in the USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand
and U.K., all descended from British ancestors.
We
are members of the Guild of One-Name Studies.
We would like to add to our pool of knowledge of the BROCKWELL family
and welcome any information from Brockwell descendants. We would
also like to find out what happened to those who seem to disappear
from the records in the UK, perhaps because of emigration.
Details
of our annual reunion can be found here.
Enquires are welcome from persons seeking their BROCKWELL roots
- this could well result in links being found to existing members.
Please E-mail us, or send an SAE.
